How we handle your information

What we collect, why, where it goes, and how to see or correct it.

Vivid Support Network (ABN 59 688 685 645) handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and, for participants, under the NDIS Practice Standards. This notice is about this website and about the information we hold when we support someone.

What this website collects

The referral and contact forms ask for your name, email address, phone number, whether you are a participant, family member, coordinator or other professional, how the plan is managed, what you are asking about, and anything you choose to write. Nothing on the form is collected without you typing it.

Form submissions are delivered to us by email. They are not stored in a database on this website. We do not run analytics or advertising cookies on this site. The only storage in your browser is what the site itself needs to work, such as remembering that you dismissed a notice.

Our hosting provider keeps ordinary web server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and reliability, as every host does.

What we collect when we support someone

To deliver supports we hold what the work requires: NDIS plan details and funding categories, health and medication information, care plans from other professionals, contact details for family, guardians and coordinators, and notes from shifts. Clinical information is held under Registered Nurse governance and seen only by the people rostered to that person.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, to assess whether we can safely take on a referral, to deliver and roster supports, to claim against a plan, to meet our obligations to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and to respond to feedback and complaints. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for marketing lists.

Who we share it with

Only where the support requires it: the participant's plan manager for invoicing, the NDIA or the Commission where the law requires it, treating clinicians with consent, and emergency services in an emergency. We do not share participant information with other providers without consent, except where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become a service are deleted within twelve months. Participant records are kept for the period the NDIS Practice Standards and Australian law require, then securely destroyed.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

Ask us at admin@vividsupport.info or on 0450 571 237. We will show you what we hold, correct anything that is wrong, and delete what we are not required to keep. If you are not satisfied with how we handled a privacy matter you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, and our own complaints process applies too.
