SIL vacancy in Glendenning, Western Sydney

A four bedroom home on a quiet street, with a flat back garden, a covered patio and support on site. Two private bedrooms are available now.

  • 4 bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms
  • Single storey
  • Support on site
  • Glendenning 2761

Two bedrooms are available now. Below is what the house actually is, so you can rule it in or out without a phone call.

We describe the home and not the people in it. Who lives there, and what their supports look like, is their business rather than a listing detail. What we will say is that we introduce people properly before anyone commits, because a share house works or fails on whether the household fits.

Photographs of the house

Photographs are of the actual home. Furniture in the shared areas changes with the household.

Being honest about access

Access, stated plainly.

A standard single-storey home. Not purpose-built or modified accommodation: standard doorways, a small step at the front entry, no roll-in shower and no hoist. Suits people who move around a home independently or with minimal assistance.

If that rules it out for you, what you are looking for is Specialist Disability Accommodation, and we will happily point you toward providers who have it.

If you need particular modifications, ask. Some things can be added and some cannot, and we will confirm what is possible before a move.

How a placement happens

Four steps, and you can stop at any of them.

A conversation. You or your coordinator tells us what the plan funds and what a good week looks like. Fifteen minutes rules most things in or out.

A look through. Come and see the house. Bring whoever you want. Ask the awkward questions.

Meeting the household. If it still looks right, we introduce people properly rather than on moving day.

The quote and the paperwork. We build the roster of care with you and your coordinator, put the service agreement in writing, and agree a start date. Nothing is signed before you have seen the house.

Questions

Are the rooms in Glendenning available now?

Yes. This page is updated the day that changes; we take a vacancy down rather than leave it up to collect enquiries.

Who is the home suited to?

Adults who want their own room in an ordinary share house with support on site. A standard single-storey home. Not purpose-built or modified accommodation: standard doorways, a small step at the front entry, no roll-in shower and no hoist. Suits people who move around a home independently or with minimal assistance. If you need a modified home, we will refer you to SDA providers who have one.

How does the funding work?

SIL is funded through the Core supports budget and is quoted on the roster of care for the household, not on the room. We prepare the quote with you and your coordinator. Rent and everyday living costs are paid separately, as in any home.

Can we look through before deciding?

Yes, and you should. Come and see the house, meet the team, and take the time you need. Nothing is signed before you have been through it.

What if it is not the right fit?

A placement has to work for the whole household. Where we can, we will point you to someone who might suit better.
