NDIS provider in Emerton

Disability supports delivered across Emerton 2770 and the rest of the Blacktown council area, from a base in Glendenning.

We work across Emerton and the suburbs around it. It is one of the Mount Druitt suburbs, with many families managing complex supports at home.

Our team is minutes away. That means lower travel charges against your plan and workers who arrive on time for early shifts.

Vivid Support Network works with plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants. NDIS registration is in progress.

Emerton, practically

Emerton is one of the Mount Druitt suburbs, where a high proportion of families manage complex supports at home. The nearest public hospital is Mount Druitt Hospital, and the suburb is served by Mount Druitt station on the T1 Western line. If a hospital discharge is coming, tell us before the date; the gap between leaving the ward and supports starting is where things go wrong.

Blacktown council area is home to people from well over a hundred countries. If support in a particular language, or with particular food or faith practices, matters to you, tell us at the first conversation and we will confirm whether we can roster for it.

Supports around Mount Druitt

The Mount Druitt suburbs have a higher concentration of NDIS participants than almost anywhere else in Sydney, and a hospital discharging into the community every day. Two things follow from that. Waiting lists with the larger providers here are long, and a great deal of complex support is being managed at home by families without clinical backup.

That is the gap we are set up for. Registered Nurse oversight means wound care, catheter care, bowel care and medication management are delivered rather than referred on, and a support worker who notices something has a clinician to call the same day.

What we deliver in Emerton

In-home support and personal care. Household tasks. Community participation and transport. Daily living and life skills. Community nursing, and high intensity supports with Registered Nurse oversight, with the exception of ventilation.

We also run a supported independent living home in Glendenning, which has two rooms available now.

Questions

Do you provide NDIS supports in Emerton?

Yes. Emerton 2770 is inside our regular service area in the Blacktown council area. Our base is in Glendenning, so travel time to Emerton is short and less of your funding is spent getting a worker to your door.

Which NDIS supports can you deliver in Emerton?

In-home support, personal care, household tasks, community participation, transport, daily living and life skills, and community nursing. Complex and high intensity supports are a large part of what we do in this part of the council area, delivered with Registered Nurse oversight. The exception is ventilation, which we do not deliver.

Can I choose my own NDIS provider in Emerton?

Yes, if your plan is plan-managed or self-managed. You can use any provider, registered or not, and change at any time without giving a reason. If the NDIA manages your plan you must use a registered provider, and our registration is still in progress.

How quickly can supports start in Emerton?

Usually within a week of agreeing a schedule. We already roster workers across Emerton and the neighbouring suburbs, so a new booking is a change to an existing run rather than a new trip across Sydney.

Which hospital serves Emerton?

Mount Druitt Hospital. We take hospital discharge referrals directly from ward staff and discharge planners, and our clinical team reviews the discharge summary and any new care plans before the person comes home.

How do I get around Emerton without driving?

Mount Druitt station on the T1 Western line. Beyond that, our workers drive, and travel training on the specific routes you need is funded under Improved Daily Living rather than out of your transport budget.

Do you have supported independent living near Emerton?

Yes. Our SIL home is in Glendenning, a short drive across the Great Western Highway from Emerton, and two bedrooms are available now. It is a standard four bedroom house with two bathrooms and support on site, not purpose-built accommodation.

What do NDIS supports cost in Emerton?

Supports are charged at the NDIS price limits for the relevant line item. Those are set by the NDIA in the Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and updated each year, so you are not paying a premium to us. What changes the total is the hours, the time of day and the support ratio. Because Emerton is close to our Glendenning base, provider travel charged against your plan stays small.
